Permanent and internship positions are posted daily on the career services website and/or O. Departmental Career Services Coordinators also email students position postings regularly. Check the COA website weekly, MyCCO and read your email from your departmental coordinator. Many companies come to campus to interview for permanent and internship positions throughout the academic year. However, a majority of interviews take place during the fall semester before Thanksgiving. Students choosing to wait until later to begin their search will miss out on many excellent opportunities.
Freshmen, Sophomores & Juniors, you need to have one or more internship experiences before you graduate. Not only does participation in an internship make you a more attractive candidate, but it can also be an avenue to a job (NACE 2008 Experiential Education Survey). Professional experience and networking are essential to landing the ideal job upon graduation. College internships are a great way to address both of these issues at the same time.
On Campus Interviews
Organizations conduct on campus interviews through the college, department and CCO. Students need to make O your primary job search resource. You can search and apply for jobs, see what employers are interviewing on campus and submit your resume. Sometimes you need to go directly to the company that you want to work for to obtain information regarding open positions. These positions are listed on the college career services website below. For departmental interviews, please contact your departmental career services coordinator.
