Agriculture has a broad reach and a wide impact in our world. It’s a mainstream economic engine and a vehicle to address some of the most pressing issues that we as a society deal with today: food security, environmental issues, world hunger, land use, and renewable sources of energy, to name a few.
Purdue Agriculture is educating the next generation of thinkers and leaders in the agriculture industry—scientists who will drive innovation and discovery to reshape life sciences, biosecurity, the environment, agriculture, and the food system. Our students are prepared to leave the world a better place and are intellectually driven to discover new knowledge driven by a real-world need. Our students are studying for a range of careers from park naturalist to molecular biologist. We graduate biologists, medical doctors-to-be, economists, teachers, engineers, communicators and biochemists; all of them connected through the disciplines of food, agriculture and natural resources.
