If obtaining a guest "A" parking permit from our main office, you may park in any location marked as "A" permit only, then obtain a guest "A" permit from the main office, 2nd floor, room 2203 to display in your vehicle.
Visitors to Purdue now can purchase visitor "A" parking permits for $5 per day from the Parking Facilities website.
By following these steps, visitors can pay for and print their visitor parking permits before coming to campus:
* Go to the Parking Facilities website.
* Create a guest account.
* Select the dates of the visit.
* Pay for the permit using a Visa, MasterCard or Discover credit card.
* Print the PDF file.
* Display the print out on the dashboard of the parked vehicle.
Visitors using a temporary "A" parking permit may park in any "A" permit parking space; however, the permits may not be used at the Grant Street Parking Garage, athletic events or residence halls.
University departments that wish to purchase visitor permits with departmental funds and visitors who wish to purchase their permits in another manner may do so by contacting the Parking Facilities office at 49-49497 or in person at 1404 W. State St. from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Where to stay
There are several hotels within a mile or two of campus, including a Hilton and a Holiday Inn. On campus, you can stay at the Purdue University Union Club Hotel. The Grant Street Parking Garage is conveniently located directly across the street from the Union Club Hotel's main entrance. Starting at Indianapolis Airport, 7800 Colonel H. Weir Cook Memorial Dr.
1. Go t on Colonel H. Weir Cook Memorial Drive (1.0 mi.)
2. Take Colonel H. Weir Cook Memorial Drive toward airport EXIT I-70/Service Roads/Cell Phone Lot (0.8 mi.)
3. Merge onto I-70 E toward I-465 N / I-74 W Indianapolis (3.7 mi.)
4. Merge onto I-465 N via EXIT 73 (10.3 mi.)
5. Keep LEFT to take I-65 N via EXIT 20 toward Chicago (49.4 mi.)
6. Take the IN-26 exit, EXIT 172 toward Lafayette /Rossville (0.2 mi)
7. Turn left on IN-26 W (3.1 mi.)
8. Turn slight left on Columbia Street / IN-26 W. Continue to follow IN-26 W (2.1 mi.)
9. Turn left onto South University Street. Go 3 blocks. Nelson Hall is the 3rd building on the left

Starting at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport
Begin on HWY 190 heading east to HWY 294. Turn right on HWY 294 heading south toward Indiana. Take HWY 294 to Interstate 90/94 to Interstate 65 heading south. Follow Interstate 65 to U.S. 231 (exit 193). Turn onto U.S. 231 South and proceed to U.S. 52. Take U.S. 52 East/231 South to the Northwestern Avenue (U.S. 231) exit. Take Northwestern Avenue to Stadium Avenue, and turn right (west) onto Stadium Avenue. Go to the Second Stoplight (Russell Street) and turn Left (south). Follow Russell Street to State Street (first stoplight), and turn left (east). Take the first right, which is South University Street. Nelson Hall is the third building on the left. Find a parking spot in the lot behind the building and go to room 2203 and ask the assistant for a parking permit. See map for details.

Begin on HWY 50 heading north for 2.0 miles Turn right on I 55 heading east for 5.7 miles Turn right on I 90 (I 94) heading southeast for 29.3 miles Take Interstate 65 heading south to U.S. 231 (exit 193). Turn onto U.S. 231 South and proceed to U.S. 52. Take U.S. 52 East/231 South to the Northwestern Avenue (U.S. 231) exit.
