The Department of Forestry & Natural Resources has a memorandum of understanding to foster and promote academic exchange between our institutions and the Tropical Agriculture Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE) based in Turrialba, Costa Rica. Some examples of projects in common with FNR include Micropropagation to assist the improvement and conservation of forest species and Genetic Diversity of Tropical Trees for Conservation and Sustainable Development.

The Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant College Program addresses the critical concerns of resource sustainability, water quality, ecosystems and human health of the area of Lake Michigan bordered by the two states.

Swedish Study Abroad Program
Purdue FNR, along with North Carolina State and Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, offer a 4-week summer course each year exploring natural resource management. “Climate Change in the Arctic,” explored climate change and its impact on natural resource management in the Arctic environment.
