Head, Department of Forestry and Natural Resources:
The Department of Forestry and Natural Resources, College of Agriculture, Purdue University, invites applications for the position of Department Head. The principal focus of the Head is to provide visionary leadership working with a diverse group of outstanding faculty and staff in pursuit of excellence in research, teaching, and extension. The Head provides strategic direction to accomplish departmental objectives through continuing and expanding internal and external support; wise stewardship of human, financial, and physical resources; and fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.
Natural Resources Lab Coordinator and Collections Curator
Purdue University’s Department of Forestry and Natural Resources solicits applicants to fill a full-time, fiscal-year position as Natural Resources Lab Coordinator and Collections Curator. The incumbent will: coordinate and participate in activities related to field and laboratory instruction of undergraduate natural resources courses that involve identification of plants and wildlife; develop and maintain the departmental collections of vertebrate and herbarium/arboretum specimens upon which these courses rely; organize equipment, vehicles and schedules, hire Teaching Assistants, provide orientations, and coordinate daily operations on behalf of faculty and staff as Director of the department's natural resources practicum; offer, on an annual basis, an undergraduate course in natural resources.
