William Fischang, Professor Emeritus, dies in New Hampshire

William (Bill) Fischang passed away on May 24, 2014. He was a former professor of entomology and vice president of student services at Purdue. His obituary was posted yesterday and can be found below. Dr. Fischang was hired in 1963 as an instructor and in 1971 became vice president of student services, a position he held for a number of years before returning to Entomology and teaching. He retired and moved to New Hampshire in 1998. Bill had a reputation for being an excellent teacher, and often had a kayak tied to the top of his vehicle which allowed him quick access to the surrounding rivers right after work. Bill is survived by his wife Peg and his two sons.
