Plant and Pest Diagnostic Laboratory
The Purdue University Plant and Pest Diagnostic Laboratory works to diagnose plant diseases and identify insects, plants and weeds and other plant and pest problems. This service is provided for the specialists and county extension educators of the Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service and Purdue University's research faculty, staff, and students as well as for private businesses and citizens of Indiana.
A reserved metered parking space is available at the west entrance to
the LSPS Plant and Soils Building. If you encounter any problems with
parking, please call Todd Abrahamson at 765-494-7071.
The PPDL is OPEN. We are only accepting samples that are sent through the mail or digital samples. Our building is locked throughout the day and we are unable to accept drop off samples or in-person payments at this time.
- Sample handling fees for photo upload only samples will be waived for Indiana residents during the Governor's executive order to shelter in place at home. Samples that require submission of a follow up physical sample will incur the usual sample handling fees.
