Plant and Pest Diagnostic Laboratory
The Purdue University Plant and Pest Diagnostic Laboratory is a central facility for receiving both physical samples and digital images submitted for identification of insects, plants and plant diseases or diagnosis of plant and pest problems. This service is provided for the specialists and county extension educators of the Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service and Purdue University's research faculty, staff, and students as well as for private businesses and citizens of Indiana.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Due to construction
near our building please park in the PPDL designated parking spots on the west
side of Russell Street. State Street is now closed and you must enter
off Harrison Street from the South of LSPS. If you encounter any problems with
parking, please call Todd Abrahamson at 765-494-7071. Click here for an

Update: The lab will be operating with a reduced staff November 20-22 and
closed November 23-24. Over Christmas and New Year’s the University and Lab
will be closed 12/25/17 to 1/2/18. Please plan accordingly when shipping
samples to the lab.
