The candidate will develop and present hands-on diagnostic training in weed seedling identification, herbicide mode of action, herbicide injury symptom identification and other timely topics of interest to trainees at diagnostic training field days. The candidate will support the plant and pest diagnostic clinic with weed plant identification, including control recommendations when requested and diagnosis of herbicide-related injury on agronomic crops. The candidate will author or co-author newsletter articles on various weed management issues, update extension weed science bulletins and guides.Required:
*Master's degree in Weed Science or closely related disciplines combined with significant weed science experience.
*Two years experience as MS weed science graduate student, or two years weed science experience with closely related MS degree.
*Certified Pesticide Applicator License.
*Knowledge of the areas of weed/crop interactions, plant taxonomy, crop management systems, and weed management practices, including chemical weed control mandatory.
*Ability to lift and carry 10-25 pounds frequently and 40 pounds occasionally.
