Postdoctoral Research Assistant(765) 496-3765
Hi! I am Jijing Luo from Guangxi, China. I received my Ph.D. in 2009 from Shanghai Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. During my graduate studies, I was a member of Dr. Hongxuan Lin’s lab and focused on rice (Oryza sativa.) whole genome chrmosome segment substitution lines (CSSLs) construction and rice QTLs/genes mapping and cloning.
After graduation, I became a postdoc at Texas A&M University in the Plant Pathology and Microbiology Department where I was able to gain some experience by working on different research fields, such as Arabidopsis small RNA-associated Argonaute protein, the interaction between host and pathogen, Cryptococcus newformans, and the mechanism of nuclear pore complex assembly in Saccharomyces cereivsiae.
