Hi, I am Longyun Guo. I am from Jilin Province in China and I received my bachelor’s degree in bioinformatics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2012. During my undergraduate years, I worked in Dr. Zhuo Wang’s lab and was involved with research about metabolic analysis of C4 plant.
I joined the Purdue University Life Sciences (PULSe) graduate program in fall 2012. After rotating in four labs during my first year, I was able to join two labs. I am co-advised by Dr. Chapple and Dr. John Morgan in the Department of Chemical Engineering. I am now working on a project with the lignin synthesis in Arabidopsis, trying to engineer the pathway to make the biofuel production in Arabidopsis more accessible.
After work, I enjoy reading various kinds of books and watching anime.
