Leadership Development Certificate Program
The Leadership Development Certificate Program is structured to provide students with experience and growth in leadership. Each student, with the guidance and assistance of a leadership coach, will develop his or her own leadership learning experience that meet the program's specific requirements.
Leadership Development Plan
A student leadership development plan will focus upon:
A minimum of 30 graded credits must be completed at a post-secondary institution toward the student's academic major prior to entering the program.
The student must begin the program at least four semesters prior to graduation.
The student must be in good academic standing when beginning the program and remain in good standing to continue the program.
Individuals who successfully complete the program will be awarded a Leadership Development Certificate and will have the Leadership Development Certificate Program endorsement recorded on their transcript.
Book-Harmon Leadership Program
Bob Book and Bud Harmon established the Book Harmon Leadership Program in Animal Sciences to enhance their efforts to provide and promote leadership in animal agriculture.
Components of the Book Harmon Leadership Program include:
A Leadership Forum each semester
Undergraduate and graduate $1,000 scholarships
Graduate student assistantship in leadership development
Leadership Course Continuum (ANSC 18100-68100 classes)
Faculty/staff/student leadership retreats
Industry mentoring and coaching
Leadership Development Activity Awards
Career Services Office with leadership resource library
Prepare and encourage students to complete the College of Agriculture Leadership Development Certificate Program
ANSC courses and experiences to support the university
Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Purdue's Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program is a series of 5 courses designed with flexibility in mind which provides the opportunity for undergraduates to gain an entrepreneurship certificate that is complementary to all majors.
