Research Interests

  • Interactions between animal behavior and commercial management strategies, and specifically the way in which animals perceive and interact with their environment, and the implications these interactions have on their management, well-being and productivity.
  • Social behavior of animals in commercial settings, including aspects of social structure stability and socially-facilitated communications.
  • Development and validation of welfare assessment methods.
