Jon Trappe is a PhD candidate in the Agronomy Department at Purdue University. Jon’s research emphasis is in Turfgrass Science with Aaron Patton as his Major Advisor. Jon’s current research pertains to the effects of turfgrass species on soil carbon sequestration. Specifically, Jon is currently evaluating the effect of several turfgrass species on 1) CO2, CH4, and N2O gas flux; 2) total soil C, N, organic C, POXC, and POMC; and 3) aggregate stability. He is expected to conclude his PhD research in the Fall of 2014.
