Job Description: District Sales Manager
Central IN and East Central IL
District Sales Manager takes the key role in fulfilling contracts and increasing brand awareness in assigned geography with key
influencers, growers, processors, and originators to build business for the brands of eMerge Genetics by Schillinger Genetics. Our
long term position is to be recognized as the better source for high yielding conventional soybeans as well as delivering a value added
compositional trait(s).
Salary; TBA based upon experience

Key Responsibilities
Report to the VP of Sales
Reach expected sales goals of XXX units of soybeans and XXX units of corn.
Recruit and manage a professional seed distribution network representing brand(s).
Develop an accurate and detailed knowledge of product and proper positioning of products.
Understands the value and benefit of compositional traits.
Train and develop each seed distribution point to be an effective and professional link to all parties throughout the supply
chain.
Communicate best options for controlling weeds in non-GMO fields to our prospects, customers, and dealers.
Know end-users/buyers of eMerge® Genetics specialty grain products and build an awareness and respect for Schillinger
Genetics that leads to a relationship for more grain contracts.
Organize a test plot system for the sales territory that supports sales growth and product awareness. Collecting reliable
data on all products and submitting information for master product database.
Provide accurate sales forecasts for annual budget forecasts and crop plan.
Execute sales activities to achieve budgeted sales of units of seed and targeted territorial profitability.
Provide critical feedback and input for seed distributor incentives, programs and training needs.
Qualifications
Previous sales track record preferably in seed sales or related field
Understands seedsmanship and the importance of thoroughly understanding the wants and needs of the producer to the
end user
Must communicate honestly and accurately
Leads by positive influence and example
Must be able to motivate dealers
Must be able to build relationships with customers, dealers, processers, and end users
Travel is required with a few nights out each month
