Location: Indianapolis, IN (Carmel, IN)
This is an entry level position in Clinical Andrology that will entail performing screening
Semen Analysis and Sperm preparation for In Vitro Fertilization. It will also require
knowledge and practice of various laboratory techniques and practices of a Human IVF
Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in related biological, life, or chemical science.
Support will be given for the completion of Andrology certifications by the American
Board of Bioanalysts
Previous laboratory experience is a plus but not required.
Requires working knowledge of a variety of complex and lengthy test procedures and
the ability to utilize specialized equipment in the performance of such procedures.
Requires extensive knowledge of chemistry, biology, and tissue culture principles and
Requires use and knowledge of Microsoft Office. Position will require administrative
tasks including report generation and data entry.
Requires the physical ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift laboratory
supplies. Proper handling techniques of liquid nitrogen and gas cylinders will also be
Requires flexibility in scheduling and in managing on-call responsibilities for
extended periods of time in rotation with other team members. Weekend rotation
Requires the ability to work independently, as well as interact as a team member in a
Requires ability to apply departmental safety regulations and procedures and the
ability to rapidly assimilate changes in test procedures and general area operation
Requires participation in ongoing accreditation and regulatory standards.
