Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a principle roll in plant merchandising activities for grain procurement and the marketing of dry and wet distiller’s grain. Responsibilities include expanding direct origination of grain and the expansion of regional feed sales, as well as, the execution of those contracts and strategies.  Need to possess strong verbal and customer relationships skill-sets including solid understanding of grain marketing and feed industry will enable the successful candidate to succeed in past pace business environment. Requirements are 4 year degree and suggested course study includes, agriculture, economics, accounting, finance, and general business. 

Responsibilities Include:
1).Negotiate terms and conditions with customers and suppliers
2). Procure corn from producer and manage producer database.
3). Monitor competitiveness for cash corn bids and originate grain per risk management strategy
4).Monitor grain and feed contract compliance in order to ensure delivery and quality
5). Maintain and keep accurate spreadsheet records of purchases including futures prices and basis levels
6). Report all purchases with accounting department and coordinate purchase and sale contracts with customers and execution of contract deliveries
7). Handle CBOT trades to offset company cash risks and monitor positions
8). Work with Logistics Manager to arrange transportation of grain and distiller’s grain in accordance with plant operations and needs
9). Execute business goals such as cost reductions and margin opportunities, inventory management, and return on investment to ensure that initiatives are measured, managed, and achieved.

1). Analyze data and provide market analysis
2). Fundamental accounting and finance
3). Public and customer relations skills
4). Commodity risk management and trading
Computer skills including spreadsheets and company specific software, including but not limited to  SAP
