We are currently searching for a Sales Representative to work with our team in Eastern Indiana.
Description of Job:
Solicit and finalize product orders to achieve annual sales and territory plan objectives. Develop and coordinate sales activities. Gather business information and identify market opportunities. Administer marketing programs to promote and create interest in products and to increase product use. Receive and utilize technical information and training on product use. Assess product orders, shipments, customer satisfaction and opportunities and/or obstacles. Maintain and develop effective working relationships with customers (i.e. dealers, growers, sales reps).
Skills: Planning, presentation, selling/persuasion, and negotiation skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; spreadsheet & word processing.
Experience: More than 1 year sales or Ag-related business experience preferred, which may include crop protection practices, pest control techniques, pesticide products and their use, pesticide advertising and marketing.
Education: BA/BS in Business, Agriculture or Sciences or equivalent. Pest Control Advisor’s license if required by state.
Other: Travel by air or car 75% of the time. Must be able to drive safely for long distances. Acceptable DMV report required. Ability to put out demonstration plots; wear respirator and other personal protection equipment. Work outdoors. Able to move 40 lbs. of product.
Special Considerations: Sales territory will include the entire eastern half of Indiana.
