We are interested in filling 2 lab assistant positions at 10 -20 per week. Below is a
general job description for student work in our nutrition lab. Over the next few
months, we will focus on measuring bone ash for poultry studies.
General Job Description
1. Animal Experiment: handle pigs, chicken, ducks & turkeys to weigh for
animal trial Assist Graduate students in collecting samples
Feed & Care for animals
2. Laboratory analyses: perform nutritional test—dry matter, mineral analysis,
crude protein, gross energy
3. Data entry: enter analyses values for statistical analysis
4. Lab maintenance and clean-up: order supplies, clean glassware and
laboratory
