About the Position
 
As the marketing and database student intern, you will be an integral part of the marketing
activities of the Center for Food and Agricultural Business at Purdue University. The center
is a self-funded organization within the university that provides professional development
opportunities for people working in agribusiness. You can find out more about the center at
The internship is an ideal opportunity for you to gain real-world marketing experience. You will
support the marketing office in implementing the center's various marketing efforts for its nondegree
seminars and conferences, along with the MS-MBA in Food and Agribusiness
Management. Your main responsibilities will include managing the center's customer
relationship management system (new data entry, updates and cleaning), editing marketing
copy and collateral pieces, and helping with the center's trade press articles and website updates.
 
Requirements
Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
Good oral/written English communication skills, including document editing
Data entry skills
Capable of functioning in a fast-paced environment and adapting to new technologies quickly
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
Proficiency in the MS Office suite of products
Knowledge of editing with AP Style, a plus
