Job Description

The goal of Frito Lay’s internship program is to provide students with the opportunity to leverage their academic understanding in a real-world, business-driven environment. During this internship experience, you will have hands-on and professional sales management training, as well as gain an overview of our business, including Frito-Lay Region and Zone business initiatives, key account management processes, route training and merchandising of our direct store delivery (DSD) distribution system, exposure to financial sales management, people management, and a specific project(s) designed by your sponsor. At the end of the summer, our interns report out to the Region Business Team on the key business points learned from the internship experience.
Key Responsibilities
Successfully interact with Customers and effectively sell in and execute sales programs and initiatives
Assist with district meetings focused on plan to achieve sales objectives and other goals
Coach RSR's to successfully sell against baseline and promotion opportunities
Collect, chart and interpret statistical data; manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Prepare and deliver sales presentations to customers as required

Improve team communication and engagement

Think quickly, creatively and challenge team to do the same
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Degree preferably in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related major

Ability to give/receive constructive feedback

High drive for results and take initiative

Project management skills

Ability to work in an unstructured environment with the ability to make tradeoff decisions quickly

Demonstrated ability to work in a results oriented, challenging environment

Strong leadership with the ability to get results through mentoring skills
Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills

Minimum Qualifications

Actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree

Authorized to work in United States on a permanent basis
Clean driving record for the past 3 years
Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and/or certification may also be required
*Locations for this position include, but are not limited to Chicago land (and surrounding suburbs), Indianapolis, Evansville, Ind., Champaign, IL., Peoria, IL., Louisville, KY, North Central Wisconsin, Madison, WI and Milwaukee, WI.
