The Future Seed Executives (FuSE) initiative became an official sub-committee of the American Seed Trade Association's (ASTA) Management Skills Committee in 2004. FuSE focuses on educating and supporting future seed industry executives, namely those with fewer than seven years of seed industry experience.
One of the committees with FuSE is Campus Connections. Campus Connections provides a unique opportunity for juniors (1 year of undergraduate studies remaining) working towards a career in the seed industry to interact with seed industry professionals and senior executives to investigate various aspects of the seed business. FuSE (Future Seed Executives), via the Campus Connections program, will award students a grant to attend the American Seed Trade Association’s (ASTA) 130th Annual Convention to be held June 15-19, 2013, in Nashville, TN. Campus Connections participants are typically pursuing a degree in agronomy, plant science or genetics, crop science, agricultural business or economics, biological engineering, horticulture, floriculture, or other approved area of study.
This is an exceptional opportunity for juniors to interact and create relationships with top executives in the seed industry.
I have attached the application in a PDF form. The application must be returned by April 25th.
