The Max Johnson Scholarship will be available this year. The application is on line at: www.mccf-in.org. The applicants are required to complete it on line and then print it off and return it to you by April 17, 2013. If this submission deadline is too late for you, let me know. It can be changed if we know right away.
To be eligible to receive the Max Johnson Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following requirements:
a) The applicant must be a resident of Montgomery County, Indiana.
b) The recipient must be a graduate or in his/her senior year at a high school in Montgomery County, Indiana.
c) The recipient must be enrolled in the College of Agriculture at Purdue University as a full-time student working toward a baccalaureate or associate degree, or as graduate student working toward a post-graduate degree.
d) The applicant must be a present or former member of 4-H Clubs or National FFA Organization. Preference shall be given to applicants who have completed one or more projects or activities related to soil and water conservation, which in the judgment of the Committee shall be worthy of recognition.
e) The applicant must demonstrate knowledge of and concern for the importance of soil and water conservation practices. Preference shall be given to applicants whose intended area of study emphasizes soil and water conservation.
