First, you will lose access to your @purdue.edu account (and everything stored there) in about 10 months from graduation.
Next, You do have the opportunity to create @alumni.purdue.edu account, but this is a forwarding service and does not provide a storage service. A valid third party email address (@yahoo.com, @gmail.com etc.) is necessary to utilize the service. Mail sent to the '@alumni.purdue.edu' address will be redirected to the email address specified with the Purdue alumni email service. It is necessary to indicate an address where the '@alumni.purdue.edu' messages will be forwarded.
Any graduate of Purdue University is eligible for the Purdue alumni email service. Applications can be submitted for the alumni email forwarding service during the senior year. It is not necessary to have graduated before using the service.
To set up the forwarding account navigate to 'https://gateway.purdue.edu/' and under the Gateway Applications column, click on 'Email Forwarding'. Fill out the following form and click 'submit' to process the application. A Gateway account is necessary, and can be created byclicking here and following the instructions provided.
Alumni email addresses are in no way related to Mailhub accounts (@purdue.edu).
