International wine competition comes to Purdue
August 4, 2010
Winemakers from around the world sent their best wines to Purdue University for the annual Indy International Wine Competition, held in the North and South ballrooms of Purdue Memorial Union for three days during the first week of August.
The largest wine competition run by a university in the country was at Purdue for the first time after 17 years in Indianapolis. About 6,000 bottles of wine filled the ballrooms. Competition categories included commercial and amateur entries.
Purdue Agricultural Communication photographer Tom Campbell documented judging on Aug. 3, the first day of the competition, and produced a photo gallery.
