SAVE THE DATE - The Indiana Division of Fish & Wildlife is beginning the process of updating the State Wildlife Action Plan. The INDNR invites all Hoosiers who care about conservation to help in the construction process. Join others as we use this strategy to guide development of action plans that will conserve all wildlife for generations to come.
Indiana's Action Plan is a habitat-based model that incorporates all fish and wildlife species within the state. It identifies the condition of Indiana's wildlife species and habitats, the problems they face, and the actions needed to ensure their long-term success.
Three meeting dates have been scheduled: Thursday, September 26th, Wednesday, October 2nd, and Thursday, October 3rd.
Indiana's State Wildlife Action Plan Advisory Committee includes: American Electric Power, Duke Energy, Indiana Department of Environmental Management, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Indiana Farm Bureau, Indiana Forest & Woodland Owners Association, Indiana Land Protection Alliance, Indiana State Department of Agriculture, Indiana Wildlife Federation, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Pheasants Forever, Purdue University, Department of Forestry & Natural Resources, The Nature Conservancy, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and U.S. Forest Service.
